This is my favorite coffee shop anywhere in the city. I drive 20 minutes out of my way for great tasting wonderfully priced caffeine and pastries. Stop in Thursday for their Kouign-amann, worth every penny!!

The very first time I went to Friendly Bean Coffee was back in August 2020, and I thought it was excellent. I loved their coffee, drinks, and went their sometimes ever since the first time I tried Friendly Bean. The menu at Friendly Bean has a wide variety of options for beverages rather they are made with coffee or not, and also baked goods & breakfast foods. Friendly Bean Coffee also has limited-time and seasonal specials which can come in many different colors. The thing that I like from Friendly Bean the most is their Frappes, which are beverages blended with malt powder, and the Frappe drinks taste very similar to ice cream milkshakes from fast food restaurants and diners. I have also had their hot Raspberry Mocha and one of their smoothies, and both things tasted delicious too. Despite the long line at Friendly Bean Coffee, the place has really good service every time me and my mom order their drinks at the drive-through. According to photos of other customers, Friendly Bean Coffee has updated their menu not too long ago. There is also a second location in the Woodneath Library Center near Liberty, MO. If customers are wanting to know what the best coffee shop in Kansas City is, I would highly recommend visiting Friendly Bean Coffee.
We liked the coffee, it was affordable and wasn't pricey. There were very nice people over here and they were very quick about making it which I was surprised but happy about.
We always love going to friendly Bean! Besides their coffee is being amazing, they’re always so upbeat and kind every time we go through the drive-through for a pup cup. Usually, they are the best part of our day.
I absolutely love this coffee shop! I’ve tried several things on the menu over the years and have never gotten anything I didn’t love. I’ve also never seen an employee in a bad mood, which I think says a lot about the type of people they hire and the work place environment. Seriously can’t say enough good things about this place.
I absolutely love this place! They have an amazing new flavor of matcha every few months or so. I am a huge matcha girly and this place is it for matcha! It’s mixed perfectly and they always know the best flavors to pair. Everyone is so kind and welcoming there so it’s all around a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
My husband and I love going to this local coffee shop and have recently been choosing them over going to Dutch Bros. Better price overall, higher quality, and supporting a local business. We love their menu options and the different seasonal drinks they offer with super cute names! My personal go-to recently has been a stores frappe, and my husband gets some variation of a cold brew!
